Fabric Brads...

are oh so pretty to look at... but I don't think I have used any of mine before!!

If it wasn't for this weeks challenge at Create:Blog I probably wouldn't either... just keep looking at them and then putting them away!! 

The one I used below has a cute little house, bird and sunshine scene on it so I thought the sentiment was sweet with it....

It's Clearly...

difficult to get a good photo of a card made with clear cardstock!!

Who knew?

Not me, since it was my first time making one!

I have had the clear card for yonks but only now that I needed a scalloped circle as the outer line of sketch did I venture into the world of making something with it!

Think it gives a card a fun and funky touch!

This card is for the Moxie Fab World Card Ideas Week Shaped Sketch Challenge... lots of other fun sketches to check out there too!

The sketch made me think of the lines of a box flower...

Welcome Baby..

While I was making a baby boy card the other day, I thought I could make a cute and girly one with the Bows and Berries 'onesie' as well! Lil' Inker's small rainbow diecut fit perfectly on it!

The nights are slowly getting darker...

so maybe my pics are the best BUT I just had to get in a quick post before hubby and I head out to dinner with a couple friends {no kids... yay!} 

It's Card Ideas Week at Moxie Fab World so the first sketch I followed was the Veritcal Sketch by Kim Hughes {p.76}

You Rock!

Well, I have had a lot more spare time than usual today.... so I am back with another card!
This time the colours over at the Color Q Challenge #99 caught my eye this am when I visited Kasia's blog! She always has super fun cards and has recently made me fall in love with all Kim Hughes Stamps at Paper Smooches.....


So, the sentiments are from Paper Smooches, the 'mixed tape' is from Bows and Berries and the Chevron Stripes are from Papertrey Ink!!

Happy Baby Girl!

While I had the felt out and I had to make a baby card for a friend, I thought I would try Lil' Inker's pinwheel die and give it a whirl... he he! The felt cut really well so I will definitely do this again since the felt pinwheel will probably keep it's shape better then paper if posted.

This brings me back...

to 2 1/2 years ago, a moment of madness.... I blame the pregnancy hormones!!

I decided on my 3rd baby to use cloth nappies after using disposable ones on the first two! 

Not my brightest idea... just wasn't tough enough to last and the little guy sure didn't like them!!

Any women that is able to do this is a saint!! 

{not to mention, Ireland doesn't have any of those fab programmes like the US does where they drop & collect in my area}

Anyway, the purpose of this post is to play along with the Fabulous Felt Challenge over at Moxie Fab World.... so many fun things to do with felt so hope you can play along!

Fabulous Felt!!

It's time for the next Moxie Fab World Challenge and for this one the star is Fabulous Felt!! Since I bought a pack of 50 sheets last year I had no excuse not to play along.... A felt flower and leaves, and a warm and fuzzy felt heart to let someone know they are special!

Tuesday Trigger: Girly & Gutsy

This weeks Tuesday Trigger below, Girly & Gutsy, has so much inspiration in it I am afraid I might have to have a few attempts! 

I used the colours, black, white, pink and yellow, the pearl pin to represent the chandelier, the horizontal striped paper to mimic the line of the table, a flower for the arrangement on the table and the two sillouttes to show the balance of the room..... even the curl of this sentiment reminds me of the patern on the floor.

Tuesday Trigger: Luminous Layers

The trigger over at Moxie Fab World this week made me think about fashion, layers of scalloped patterns.... 
but then I thought of the fun scalloped breasts of the owl in the Paper Smooches 'Chubby Chums' set!!
I decided to make the card for a friend.... who else do we share our fashion faves with other then a good friend!!! 
The best part is I got to use up all those tiny paper scraps I was keeping from pinkpaislee's 'sweetness' paper pad {too pretty to throw away!}
I have also entered this into the Papercrafts August Gallery Challenge... celebrating Girlfriends!!

the kids are back to school soon!!! Phew... where did the summer go...
I will have two in 'big school' this year... a junior and a senior infant!!! 
I made a quick back to school card today for the current Color Q #97...

So funny how they are drowning in their school uniforms and by the end of the year they will be growing out of them!!

August Sparks Challenge..

..at Paper Smooches has started, and I am poping in with a card that was inspired by the challenge picture I have posted below. I really tried to recreate the soft romantic look with the woodgrain background, pearl leaf pins, diamantes, and ball trim all paired with the fantastic Paper Smooches 'celebrate' sentiment from their 'Sugar Rush' stamp set!!
